My match request has been rejected
If your donation match request has been rejected, it still needs to meet the requirements. You will receive an email letting me know the reason for rejection, also listed below, in which you can resubmit your match request to meet the requirements (if possible).
1. Unacceptable proof of donation
A valid receipt must be uploaded as proof of your donation.
Please make sure the receipt is clear and official and includes all relevant information (e.g., name, donation amount, date, and nonprofit details).
2. Name mismatch
The name on the donation receipt must match the name on your account.
Please make sure the name shown on the donation receipt matches the name of your account.
3. Donation amount mismatch
The donation amount on the receipt must match the amount submitted on the platform.
Please make sure the amount shown on the donation receipt matches the amount you have put in your request. However, if you donated in a different currency, use a currency conversion to determine which amount to put in your local currency, as this is accepted.
4. Nonprofit is not eligibility
The nonprofit you donated to must be eligible to receive donations through your employer’s platform.
Although it's beneficial to understand your employer's eligibility guidelines, we will check a nonprofit's eligibility after you submit your request.
Just so you know, resubmitting a match request that has already been rejected for this reason will not change the nonprofit's eligibility status.
5. Date outside of matching budget cycle
The date of the donation must fall within the current matching cycle year unless your employer has made exceptions.
For example, if the matching budget resets on January 1st each year, only donations made in 2024 are eligible for the 2024 matching budget. Donations made in 2023 can't be matched using the 2024 budget.
6. Insufficient matching budget
The donation amount can not be fully matched with your remaining matching budget.
Currently, it's not possible to partially match a donation.
