Which roles are eligible for an education discount?
When you apply for an education discount, your role at the institution is one of the factors we use to confirm your eligibility. Below is a full list of the education roles we recognise across our programs.
Teaching roles:
- Teacher, Interim Teacher and Trainee Teacher: Deliver lessons in a primary, secondary, or higher education setting.
- Assistant Teacher, Teaching Assistant and Class Assistant: Support lead teachers and provide in-class help to students.
- Professor & Lecturer: Teach and conduct research at college or university level.
- Instructor & Tutor: Lead practical or one-to-one instruction within or outside an institution.
- Part-time & Substitute Teacher: Cover a teaching role on a temporary or reduced-hours basis.
- Paraprofessional: Provides instructional or behavioural support under a qualified teacher's supervision.
- Preceptor: Provides clinical or professional mentorship, typically in healthcare or nursing education.
Student roles:
- Student, Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Graduate & Exchange Student: Enrolled at an educational institution at any level, including those temporarily studying abroad.
- Doctoral Student / PhD Student & Research Student: Undertaking original research or advanced study as part of a formal program.
- Student Teacher & Trainee Teacher: Training to become a teacher while gaining classroom experience.
- Intern & Apprentice: Combining practical on-the-job training with formal education or qualification.
Pedagogical roles:
- Pedagogue & Psychopedagogue: Specialize in the theory and practice of teaching, with psychopedagogues also supporting students with learning or developmental needs.
- Pedagogical Coordinator & Pedagogical Monitor: Coordinate teaching practices and supervise students outside of formal teaching hours.
- Pedagogical Assistant & Pedagogical Therapist: Support educational programs and students experiencing learning or behavioural challenges.
- Educator, Education Specialist & Education Service Officer: Work in a broad educational capacity, delivering or coordinating services and curriculum guidance.
- Educational Assistant & Education Support: Provide general assistance to teaching staff and students.
Learning Support roles:
- Speech Therapist & Occupational Therapist: Support students with communication, language, or physical difficulties.
- Kindergarten Inspector & School Inspector: Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of early years and school-level education.
- Room Assistant, Class Assistant & Monitor: Assist with student supervision and support in a non-teaching capacity.
- Librarian: Manages the library and supports students with research and information literacy.
- Foreign Language Assistant: Supports language teaching through native-language conversation practice.
Management roles:
- Headmaster, Schoolmaster, Head of School & Principal: Senior leaders responsible for staff, students, and overall school performance.
- Director & Public Officer: Hold strategic or governance responsibility for an institution or department.
- Head of Department: Oversees a specific subject area or faculty.
- Coordinator & Advisor: Manage programs or services and provide guidance to students or staff.
Administrative and Peripheral roles:
