What documents does Goodstack require to confirm my nonprofit association?
All documents must be the original version (no redactions) and in PDF format.

We recognize that nonprofits come in all shapes and sizes; some are long-established, while others are just getting started. This is why we strive to make our documentation policy nonprofit-friendly and accessible to every organization, while still maintaining the thoroughness of our due diligence checks.
Providing at least one document from the list of organization-issued documents and one from the list of bank-issued documents will enable us to review your claim or application more quickly. If you are based in the United States, providing an EIN Verification Letter is strongly recommended.
Government-issued documents:
While they can help verify your organization's nonprofit status, most cannot be accepted as confirmation of your nonprofit association, as copies of these documents are available to download directly online without requiring authentication.

- Certificate of Incorporation (United States: Alabama, Arkansas, and Delaware states only).

Requirements for this document type:
- Must show your organization's legal name
- Must be dated more than 30 days ago from the date of your claim or application.
- Must be signed.
- Must show your full name where appropriate (e.g., Employment Confirmation Letter).
