Why does my donation say “Check sent”?

This means we've sent a check to the nonprofit, as we were unable to deliver the donation via bank transfer, or this is their preferred payout method.

We’ll update the status again once the nonprofit has deposited it.

The timeframe in which we update the status to "Paid" can depend on how quickly the nonprofit deposits the check with their bank.
